The Guv’nor Martin Stone

What can you say about this man?

He started his career in the FWA academy and soon went on to great things, having competed against the Who’s Who of British and European wrestlers and that’s not where it ends! The Guv’nor was seen on RQW TV against the Japanese legend that is “MUTA”!!! He famously entered the ring against ex-WWE star Rhino, with his reign as RQW Champion ending when he faced the German monster, ex-ECW star, Ulf Herman. As if that weren’t enough, he is also the former IPW champion; surely it’s only a matter of time before the Guv’nor will want to get his hands on the HEW championship belt!

Needless to say, Martin Stone is one of the top wrestlers in the Country and the company; he made his HEW debut in March 2006, in a tag match of epic proportions: Stixx & Stone (of FWA Fame) v The UK Pitbulls (at the time the most successful tag team in Europe).

Other commitments meant that we didn’t see Stone again, until October 2008 (Helloween) against Norway’s pure athlete Aron Frost, another solid match from Stone, on an HEW show. He then returned again in 2009’s “Living on a Prayer”, booked against the insane and outrageous Delicious Danny Blaze, an experience I’m sure Mr. Stone would like to forget! I’m sure anyone who knows who Danny Blaze is will agree, nevertheless another good and certainly entertaining match that resulted in a re-match at our largest show to date, Towerlands Inferno, held on 22nd August 2009.
